Coturnix quail,Celadon,Albino,Black Birthday Hatch/pied-Darth,boody mom, Chinese painted quail.

Thanks to @FloorCandy I am getting 18 coturnix eggs 2 are potentially fertile albino and 1 is potentially fertile black and the rest celadon,I only say potentially cuz I was told it's a chance cuz the males young,my fiancee said I can have a coturnix since my personal button Lucifer keeps jumping down and Anubis can kill him (which is bad) and Anubis does need a gf so I will hopefully pick a female even if it's male least he can't kill it in one good peck when it's grown (no he has no killed any buttons in fact Lucifer chased Anubis around the living room a few days ago it was hilarious ) but I don't want to take chances plus she said I could , and my b day is Dec 17 and they were mailed out today I might be able to get at least one to hatch on my b day lol,

Now as for the Chinese painted quail part, I have been breeding my Darth Lucifer to shana my almost pure white pied and now that she did her skip s day then today laid her 7th she is now broody I plan to let her hatch them because I want to see what hatches from them they are both so pretty , ps pics are mixed sneak peak at eggs last pic I think the two white lines lead to albinos the black to black rest are celadons

You’re my first guinea pig since my massacre. These are new groups so I haven’t had a chance to test the viability, but I wanted you to have them for your bday! The black one is my least certain, since the male is so young, but my fingers are crossed.

Well it said Saturday estimate and I just checked tracking for the first time (like a idiot) and yaaay I had a feeling (picture below)

I'm on my way home right now (long day at work) got the incubator all cleaned and running, I literally have it set up on a chair next to my bed so I can can a eye on it and make adjustments as needed fun part is I have a double lamp hanging from the ceiling over it cuz that was Lucifer s baby spot got a black heat bulb and a uvb tropical style (cuz Chinese painted quail) (it can greatly enhance there colors brights brighter darks darker)

Waiting by my door ready for the eggs don't u dare drop them mailman !!!

Here is shanas updated nest while I wait to unbox, she took the extra hey and put it to use I'll give her some more later I love the jumbo nest she ended up building last time(and hope USPS didn't demolish) and my incubator sitting there waiting for some eggs at 99.5 with humidity at 35% for now it's so easy to maintain once the rubber mat is inside (less eggs rolling extra too slipper plastic under it)

Mailman ran late like always but hey least it wasn't at 6-7-8pm today here are unboxing pics, only 2 had cracks the rest only like 4-5 I think have any paranoid person would think markings basically they survived the tapping test so let's see not big enough to think they are cracks and such happy with it honestly better then sellers only other person had good shipping like this was nabiki anyone else I get online tons come cracked , also Really @FloorCandy I can't find my box cutter or scissors (had them this morning) so I used my jagged lock key and omg it was like seeing a log by time I finally get through the afternoon and tape I see a giant X of tape lmao I'm like omg they did this on purpose then I cut through it toss the extra pine over finally uncovered my treasure!!! And they are gorgeous , thank goodness the albino s and black survived and no cracks or marks what so ever ! , So I go to break open the two that were cracked and didn't survive the tap test I do to make sure of cracks and to my surprise I find a double yolk on the 2nd one !! I'm like always wanted to try and hatch twins I always see everyone else talk about it , well enjoy this fun hatch adventure

Lemme tell you about that tape! I couldn’t find box tape, so I used grape scented duct tape. When I get to the post office, the lady says you can’t use duct tape it’s flammable. So I buy their overpriced box tape, and she says she will seal it for me while I write the address out and stuff. I’m not looking, but I just hear tape stretching and tearing and stretching and tearing, over and over. She used sooooooo much! Also she just put the box tape over the duct tape, so I’m not seeing how it was less flammable, but whatevs.

Also i think I know which was double, and there might be another, I had to stretch the holes to get 2 into them because they were each so fat. I thought they were just big, not necessarily doubles.

So since I have 4 extra eggs cuz 12 slots I took the smallest egg and gave it to shana she accepted it when she walked back onto the nest and is now sitting on it for the past hour or so, sorry blurry she chittered at me so I zoomed into confirm my Chinese painted quail is sitting on a coturnix egg I am now so tempted to candle her eggs tomorrow see which are infertile if any and replace them with coturnix eggs

I can’t wait to see how this goes. Make sure you warm them up to your body temp so they don’t chill the tiny button eggs, and she will like warm new eggs better, especially big eggs.
