Coturnix Quail Hatch Along

Lockdown soon! Ended up with 9 developing eggs, 4 celadon and 5 normal. A 50% fertility rate for shipped eggs isn't too bad I suppose. Not the best I’ve had, but certainly not the worst. I threw out both of the cracked eggs. The normal one had nothing developing like I thought, and the celadon egg was fertile but the crack unfortunately killed it. We will see how many hatch

Ok, looks like a lot have pipped around 6 i think. I see some rocking too. I’m excited for them to hatch

Was getting ready for bed and one just hatched! They’ve all pipped, so I’m hoping they all actually hatch

9 chicks, no problems! They’re super cute! Looks like 2 wilds, a silver wild, and some tuxedo babies I’ll have to get pics in a moment

Spoke too soon.. one of them failed to thrive. Poor little guy

Well, hatch is over! This is all of them, minus another tuxedo and the chick that didn’t make it. I was really hoping they’d all make it. Luckily the rest of them are doing well. Only 8 chicks, but cuties nonetheless
