Coturnix Quails

Hi ALL

Im in the uk and have Coturnix Quails as pets,
The amount i have is starting to increase very quickly and i want to start to sell them.

Can anyone help me?

DO I NEED A LICENCE to breed and sell Quails in the uk?

Heya!! I'm in the UK too! Haven't ever heard anything about needing a license or anything. I'm advertising a few of my surplus chicks for sale on gumtree no problem.

Hey I'm also in the U.K. ur local council has bylaws about poultry but they only say u need to inform them if u have more than 50 birds so unless u have a large amount of space to house that amount of birds u should be fine ! X I have 7 quail in my back garden 6 girls and an accidental boy just as pets and eggs ! X I love them and they are so quiet I have no issue with neighbours the wild birds are louder hehe ! X

hi i am in the uk as well, i agree with above. i have chickens, ducks and quails on the way, sold some eggs and babies with no problems. if you turn it into a business then that will be a different matter.
