Couch to 5k - training for people new to running

so have all of us original runners stopped? I finally got myself to run for like 5 minutes straight the other day because I didnt have time to do the program but I felt like crap, it helped, but now I have to have time to work on the program! Hopefully today! ugh.
 
My DH says to me that when I start puking while running then it is working! LOL

I had built up my endurance with my 2 miles a day and I barely would even break out in a sweat so I added more excerisises to my running regimen....my body definatly feels tighter than it did a few weeks ago when I added more work. I like to look really fit but really feminine too, not like a muscled up guy

There is a fine line there.....

I have noticed that more excersise makes me feel better mentally too.

I lost my job in January and have been parked on the couch since, minus the time I've spent with my kids and chickens...I used to run 5 miles on the treadmill every day (9 years ago) and it only took about 3 months to work up to that. I loved it!!!

Our house burned down then (9 years ago...) and in the mayhem that follows that sort of loss, we got out of the habit of going to the gym. I got a lot of exercise at the job I had then, but 3 years ago switched to a very sedentary position where I have now turned globular and have all the firmness in my thighs of a bag of pudding on a stick...

It's time.

I will start this gig with anyone else who wants- but it will have to wait, because I have a day filled with cleaning and shopping for a cookout tomorrow, which I planned because I knew if I did I would be forced to pick up (shovel) my house.

*sigh*

I'm on a brief break due to surgery for about 2 weeks, but I'm still at it! I'm doing the five minute then three minute runs. I'm still slow, but I've really come to enjoy it and look forward to my runs.
 
I'll give it a try! I'm currently in "The Biggest Loser" at work, and I haven't lost anything. I'm looking for workout buddies. I'll be able to start tomorrow!
 
Im dying can't run for a while. I hurt my left foot dunno what I did just woke up and rolled over on it off my bed and almost fell on my face because it just hurt so bad. Can't put all that much weight on it and fell down the stairs when I was trying to get up them the other day on one foot, I still go to practice just to be there and its torture watching them run and I can't!

did you girls start today? I am stiiiiillll repeating week two, but luckily I have most of this week off so I plan to get into it big time... I can try to wait for you guys to get to week two if you'd like?! So glad to have ppl wanting to try with me again! Emzzzz... :-( Sorry you're still injured do they have any idea whats wrong? A bone spur maybe?
