Absolutely not true, this Dutch Shepherd is a high drive working dog, but the chickens are a non-event to her. They trust her totally, and she ignores them. I missed the photo of one of the hens eating off the chopping block face to face with her, but the hen is leaving because the dog got all the good bits, not for any other reason. She doesn't guard the chickens, but absolutely would never harm one.
