Making me anxious!!! I have some call ducks due to hatch Thursday and Friday!!! Can't wait!!

There's 8 so far. 6 more eggs to hatch (hopefully).

and j completely forgot to mention that one of my girls is actually sitting on her eggs! Shes made a nest. However, when it's time to let them all out, they go ballistic about it like they can't wait to go to the pool! So she does willingly leave the nest. I'm still working on a ramp for them, right now its more like a slide til I add steps or something. One day I went out and I cleaned the pen and there were 27 eggs! She's nesting on both her and my other girls' eggs.

27 eggs. isn't it cold where you live? what's got into this duck to think she can hatch out ducklings this time of year. Or maybe she knows about the ones inside and figures you'll take these and brood them too.

I think she's being broody today lol. I opened the pen to fill food and water and the other two went nuts, while she stayed on the nest. Usually when I open it up, they ALL go nuts. There's 21 in there right now. And they're definitely fertile. I've checked since the last time I went out to scoop up any duds.

A POOL??? OMG, WE HAVE NO POOL JUST A BLOCK OF ICE. Apparently Ducks don't ice skate very well. LOL

Haha yea ours is a block of ice almost every day. But now I try emptying it out if I can and don't fill it til morning. But I take a cooler back and forth getting water from my sanitary sink with hot water. By the time I get to the pool, the water is nice and warm. They run for that thing!!! They practically glide to it hahahaha!!!

How are all the ducklings doing any more hatch? and what are you going to do with all the ducklings especially if your duck hatches out all of those she is sitting on? just curious. lol
