Could I show this bird?

Was just curious if my boy could show this in 4h if it would follow suit? Hes about to be 5 and just was wondering some input before he got all excited. Hes a very handsome guy but that doesnt always follow standrads.

4h standard's used for judging can vary a lot from place to place....some counties and states engage judges that use APA standard's, others not so much. Most, especially for the jr. Classes are pretty lax. Showmanship classes are about the handler, not the anilmal....is this bird easy for your son to handle?
I would enlist the expertise of as currernt poultry project participant (check with the extension office if you don't know any) and have them mentor your son and assess the bird.... they'll be familiar with how things are for your locality

Ok will do thanks, hell go to his first meeting next month so I can ask more. Hes easy to handle once you catch him but hes not super fast. Hes very independent and will do his own thing from the flock, I need to find the poor guy a girlfriend, he tries his luck with big red our sexlink lol.
