Could these eggs be from the same hen?

Mixed flock of 20 week old hens..we got our first intact egg today! It was laid by one of my Marans, I watched it happen (magical!)

We had an egg a day for the last three days, too, but they were all laid overnight from the roost so they were broken on the coop floor in the morning. I don’t know who laid those.

Side by side comparison photo...would you say these were laid by the same hen? Or do you think I have another layer, too? I know BCM shell colour can vary quite a bit in the beginning.

They look like they're from different birds, but I'm not familiar with marans. Your marans should have a darker, redder comb than the others because she's laying, as well as wider set hips. If any of the other birds show those signs, than another one may be laying.

Common new layer hiccup, it should improve shortly.

Those could be from the same layer or another. Marans generally will NOT lay an egg a day. Suspect more layers are also coming on line.

Congrats on your first solid egg! :celebrate
