I didn't notice all the LONG necks the first time around. These GIRLS

have me worried and they are only 2 weeks old. They are not making any funny noises that I could take as crowing (thank goodness!)

Please help me. Please tell me that girls LOVES to stretch their necks too!

We had a really easy time sexing our RIRs by the tails and wingbow feathers. The girls all got tails and wingbow feathers early and our one boy got his tail really late and didn't have the wingbow feathers. Those pics look like a lot of girls to me. I have very little experience though, but I like to try and then see what the pros say...

Feather sexing only works if you breed for it. Otherwise, it's a waiting game like most hatched chicks. I'm pretty sure I see a little of each, which is typical for hatched chicks. In about 2 more weeks, you'll have a good idea of who's who.
