Hello. This chick is 6 days old. I got the egg as part of Meyer Hatchery's 'Egg Layer Assortment.' It hatched from a large brown egg. I've been looking at images of the 'brown egg layer' chicks that Meyer has for sale on their website. Too me it looks like what they have listed as a Golden Buff, 'also known as Golden Comet, Golden Sex Link, Cinnamon Queen, and Red Star.' It also kind of looks like the Rhode Island Red picture. I'm just hoping to get some guesses from people with more experience than myself. I'm kind of hoping it is a sex-link female because I would like to keep her.

Any thoughts? I know it is still pretty little but I thought maybe the kind of stripe pattern coming in on it's wing feathers might be a clue. As for size, it's about the same as the austrolorp chicks from the same hatch. Thanks for taking a look at him/her!

Oh no! I didn't realize. I will try posting again. Thanks!

I think the pictures should be showing in the two posts above. Thanks again.

Are the pictures showing up?
