Countdown to receiving new chicks on oct 9th week

I would definitely bring her some fresh eggs for doing that!

Yes I thought I would find out if she has a flock of her own. Most everyone has chickens here. If so maybe I can find out if she would like a couple chicks next spring

I've just moved my 1.5 week old babies to the barn in a pen. They were all fine and sleepy this morning. They were quickly outgrowing their play pen. I have 23 little chicks that age.
Another note: If you buy an incubator, get a small one. It's too tempting to fill up and hatch continuously. I have no self control!

I am done right now.. The silkies are broody, and that's all I'm prepared to hatch over the winter.

I am getting an incubator at the begining of the year and thought I should get a small one just for that very reason.

Omg I love the look of the Mille fleur, I actually used a pic of a chick as my desktop pic....with a beard like an Easter egger would be so cute....ok it's nap time, I'm freaking myself out being this obsessed.....

Just slow down and take a deep breath. If you got a tracking number you can track your chickies to see where they are.

I only had one D'Uccle and he was so sweet. He did not live very long, but definitely was my favourite until he passed

I'd like to get more, and I know someone that breeds SQ D'Uccles.

Well I've given up on today being the day. Customer service said today, but I am guessing it is tomorrow now. Sooooo....hopefully I sleep tonight. I've unplugged the brooder and I'm going to run some errands later that I planned to put off.
