Country -vs- city hens

Thank you for the advice, Ridgerunner. I do have the hen I received from her quarantined in a separate pen/coop that I wasn't currently using, having dispatched a spent flock of Golden Comet hens. I did put my original hen back with the flock, so I'll keep an eye on her also.

I'm waiting to see if the hen she thought was eating the eggs does that here - she hasn't laid yet, so I'm still waiting. She also has bumblefoot, but I'm not going to do anything about it until I figure out if we're going to keep her or dispatch her to Freezer Camp.

My friend was leaving on vacation today, and didn't want her pet-sitter having to deal with any issues that might arise if my hens didn't calm down. Probably not the best time to bring more hens to join her flock, but that's hindsight for you.
