One word for your back..Arnica..I broke mine awhile back , and since I've been putting it on...it's gotten way better ! You can buy it at any health food store...It may take awhile for it to start working...but believe me...it helps !

P.S. Coyotes are not known to attack humans...just livestock for the most part . You might try carrying a baseball bat to make you feel better...if the coyotes feel threatened...they will leave right off the bat !

They won't attack humans. They would need to be near starving and in a pack before they would even think about it. If their pray makes enough noise and is big enough, it will leave them alone. We never heard yotes here when we first moved in but knew they were in the area. /I know the first time that I heard them they were across the fence line, about 100 yards from me and I just about jumped out of my skin. We never saw the, just heard them until this year. Dh killed one hunting and saw a couple more that were out of range. They don't have anywhere to go because even the country is starting to fill up with people. They don't have any real preditors except for humans. Many states have open season with no limit on them, so killem if you can. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I not going to lose my live stock or pets because of them being over populated. They will die of starvation and to me it is mor humane to shoot them and they die quickly than starve.

The yipping is creepy. I woke to it the other night. I thought that maybe they had made a kill in the farmer's field across the road. I was glad the cats were inside...

Coyotes use to come close to here when there were less houses. One night I was walking down road, and there was this one that had a weird howl, like a wild laughing women. So I imitated it. And it answered me back. It scared me and I ran all the way home!

sometimes keyboard doesn't type the letters, so I had to go back and fill in, hee hee
