My first time incubating. We are on day 22. Eight of 12 eggs candled and looked good at lockdown (day 18). One egg has cracked but the widest part of the crack is where I cant see it, underneath. Maybe there is a pip? The membrane is still intact. Noticed this 3 hours ago. Other eggs are rocking to chick peeping sounds played occasionally. Temp is 37.8 to 38 C . Humidity is 55 to 61%

Umm.. that looks strange. 😦 Are you sure that was a good egg?
I'd up your humidity to 65-70% too.
While I was sleeping it flipped over. I guess the little guy is just working at it. I still dont see a pip. I have full water trays but the humidity wont go higher. There is condensation on the lid to the incubator. I imagine my choice of cheap incubator doesnt have the best humidistat.

Well that egg didnt make it. Beside all the flip flopping it did, the membrane punctured before it could absorb the yolks. Fully formed, no bleeding, just oozing. 😪

We have a new chick that pipped in the night and hopefully the remaining 7 will make it today. Even if we just got 2 out of the 12 that would be worth it.

Next time you will need to raise the temp slightly, but be patient they might still hatch fine. Just a couple days "late" The droplets sound like ok humidity, but make sure it doesn't drop if you open.

Did you mark the air cell? It looks like the chick pipped on the small side of the egg. Also, you should have a separate temp/humidity gage because the ones that are built into incubators are almost never calibrated and can be off by several degrees.
Good to know. I will have to get one.

Thanks I have been like a ninja to get any issues out of the incubator. The humidity gage may drop one percent but comes right back up.
