I noticed yesterday that my ameraucana has a cracked beak. Normally if the cracks are not big or do not seem to cause any problems, I will let them heal on their own. However, my ameraucana has a crack that starts from the side of the upper part of her beak, has an abrasion-like look right under her nostril, then runs to the top of her beak. It's pretty large and has one 'jagged' ish piece hanging off of a side but if I trim or file it then she will be missing part of her beak. Should I try to fix it with glue? I was just concerned because of how close it is to her nostril and because of its length. All responses appreciated, thank you.

wow! I'm sorry but I have no idea. Found this thread searching for cracked beak because I have a hen with a hairline crack running lenthwise up to the nostril.
Hoping someone with experiene replies soon!

I would glue and in fact i have glued a deep laceration in a beak. In the first post i would use a tea bag to patch and glue. If it is a hairline crack and not very deep then just gluing alone may work.
