Cracked wheat???

My Grandma has tons of wheat and she said she could bring it up with her grinding machine so I could feed my chickens cracked wheat. So, can chickens eat cracked wheat or is it unhealthy??? If it is healthy could I just use it as scratch???

Either way. A single grain, be it corn, barley, wheat, milo, etc are all wonderful, but a a solo feed any of them would fall very short in providing the dietary needs of the birds.

I'd never turn down free grain, but I'd find a way to balance it with a gamebird feed and/or other higher protein feeds.
