It is definitely very likely that she is going through the last stages of a molt as one of my birds is still finishing up hers so it is that time of year here. She also may have been in crowded conditions before (not sure, it sounds like she came from a farm where the owners were letting birds reproduce randomly). She is really really pretty and not as rough as the photos make her look (she sticks her tail up a lot, someone said that is usually an EE trait so I wonder if she is EE and Houdan or one of the other V shaped comb birds). The person I got her from said that the farmer they got her from said she would lay blue eggs.
