Lavender Mottled Cochin Bantam Project Eggs For Sale!

The F1's of my mottled lavender project are laying like crazy and i am offering a total of 12 eggs, some from their pen and some eggs from my SQ white pen. The parents of the eggs you are getting are split for mottled and lavender, so you will get some black, some lav, some mottled, and a few lav mottled. these are pullet eggs and i have not tried to hatch any myself, my bator is full, so i have no idea how hatchability is or what the acutal ratio of colors you will get, so no guarentees, only guarentee is eggs leave here intact and packed carefully. i dont have any doubts toward fertility though since there are 3 roos over 9 hens. the white eggs have had excellent fertility and hatchability ive had 100% fertility and hatchability on the whites, even with two week old eggs, and the white eggs you get will be fresh! auction starts at 25$, and ends tuesday at 4:40pm pacific time. A reserve amount is set and if it is not met the auction will be withdrawn

Okay how do we find out if Schmmems is okay? She hasn't checked in for several days and nobody has been doing updates. I'm going to be out for a day but if I can help I will

I don't know if anyone knows how to get ahold of her outside of BYC.

On some parrot lists that I'm we have a list of phone numbers for members in case no one hears from them in a while. Especially when there are things like floods, earthquakes, hurricanes and such. Having something like that might be a good idea.

The only thing LG's are good for is planting flowers in

Everyone I have ever had or known someone to have has skyrocketing temps. I have no idea how they stay in business. I guess people who have never used them will buy them unknowingly because maybe that's all they can get at their local store?

My last hatch my LG went up to 107 overnight. I lost a ton of eggs. What eggs I didn't lose, afterwards the chicks that did hatch started dying off.

I hate my two LG's and love love love my Hovabator.

That's exactly how they stay in business. My new neighbors have been watching my bird addiction since they moved in a year ago and started talking about getting into chickens themselves. Well, they came over all excited one day with a TSC ad to show me the LG incubators that were on sale. I tried to tell them gently that LG incubators are crap, and that they'd be better off going with a Hovabator or Brinsea (LOVE my Brinseas!

), but they really believe that they can make an LG work for them. Nevermind that I've been hatching practically non-stop since I got my Brinsea 'bator with awesome hatch rates and I borrowed an LG a month ago and had a 15% hatch rate in it, they think that THEY can make it work.

Agreed! I ended up having to mod mine...added pc fan, thermostat and a few other perks. I bought it when I did not know any better...long before I joined here plus it was the only incubator TSC had...LOLOLOL

But dear sweet hubby rescued me from the nasty LG. He built me a matching pair of cabinet incubator and hatcher from Renegade Farm plans so I am set. His wish is that I don't keep them full...like THAT is gonna happen!

My LG gave me great hatches last year when it was still new. When I fired it up this year, it hasn't been as cooperative. My temps wouldn't hold and my hatch rate declined. I got a Dickey and now use the LG for a hatcher which works okay. Hovabator is still doing okay, but it was new last fall.

I have a forced air LG that I hatch in. It's great for that. I tried incubating in a still air and lost a dozen very expensive polish babies. Threw the darn thing out I was so mad! I incubate in a 1588 and have nearly 100% in my eggs and 50-75% in shipped eggs.
