I already have a dozen cayuga eggs and 6 call duck eggs. I should have 1 1/2 dozen cayuga eggs and 15 call duck eggs if they keep laying like they are.

I'll bid $15 on the Call Duck eggs.

I've never hatched ducks, so I'll need some coaching!

They are a piece of cake! Just like chickens but one week longer. Also, I have sebright's eggs in my bator now. I won both calls and cayugas and have one week left to go until hatch.

My first ever duck eggs are hatching now. Hatching ducks is a lot easier than I thought it would be! Go for it Renee!

Call ducks actually take about 24-26 days, not quite as long as 'big' ducks.

Just various roos. I have some OEG, BR, LF cochin mixes and some OEGB running around out there...so it's really a toss up. Most of the chicks (all from the oldest hen) should carry the blue-egg gene. The 2 younger hens are the daughters of the older hen, 1 lays light blue eggs and the other olive green. I've got some black and lavender ameraucanas growing out (they are a week old
lol.png
) so eventually I'll have a 'blue-egg roo' with them assuming that at least one of the babies is a roo
roll.png

Currently I have 14 EE eggs and 7 BSL. The dates on the eggs are:

EE: 2 from 11, 3 from 12, 2 from 13, 2 from 14, 2 from 15, and 1 from 16. There might be another from today since Fluff-fluffs lays on top of the house and I didn't check her nest today
roll.png

BSL eggs are 1 from 10, 2 from 12, 2 from 14, and 2 from 15. I wasn't able to check the BSL today since their roost got knocked down so they were all sleeping in the nests
hmm.png
Didn't want to get eaten by one of the roos
lol.png
They'd probably be covered with mud anyway
sad.png

I'll add whatever I get tomorrow (and today) and maybe Monday if they lay early enough...it should be at least 2 dozen. If you don't want the 'old' eggs just let me know, I can put them with the eating eggs or stick 'em in my bator (EE's anyway
big_smile.png
)

I have 2 more BSL and at least 1 more EE egg. That's at least 24 eggs so far for the low-low price of $20 including shipping!
smile.png

Got about 2 hours left on these, currently there are 15 EE (haven't checked Fluff-fluffs's nest yet so there could be 17) and 9 BSL eggs.

I have BBS & White silkie eggs coming out of my ears right now! Also have 2 girls who were in my white pen for a few weeks so I could experiment. Some of the eggs from the BBS pen may have genes from the white cockerel still. Most chicks from the mix ended up with a pale smokey partridge stripe. I have winners in both pens -- including BB, BV, Champion Trio & Reserve Featherleg.

I also have Lav/split Orp overload happening! These girls are laying machines! I'm running them all in one pen right now. My Lav cockbird is hinkjc F3 or F2. The original split hen was also directly from Jody -- she won Best English. I have a trio of 1 year old Lavenders from them in the pen. I also have 4 big gorgeous exhibition quality pure black English style Orpington girls in there. I get at least 4 eggs a day, if not 6 from their pen. Since I put them all together, a few of the chicks are coming out mottled -- both black & lav.

I wrap each egg in a 6x12 piece of bubblewrap, nestle them aircell up in shredded newspaper which sits on a piece of 3/4" foam & top it all off with either more foam or bubblewrap.
