My flock consists of (non-broody) 2 Rouens, 4 Pekins, and 1 F&W Runner. The drakes are 1 Rouen, 1 blue Runner, 1 Pekin, and 1 crested Pekin. The Rouen girls (laying in the barn) stay with the Rouen boy, and 2 of the Pekins are with the non-crested Pekin boy. The other 2 Pekins are in love with the blue Runner and the F&W and the crested Pekin boy are an item. Everyone free ranges, so you could get mixed or pure. I've had some adorable mixes though, and several pure bred ducklings (pekin or rouen).

The marans were the only breeds that hadn't gone broody yet, so I knew it was coming. Mainly it's been the OEG/OEGB, cochins, and serama, but I have 1 japanese hen and 1 silkie hen on nests now too.
It really sucks...the marans were my last available breed besides ducks, and ducks just aren't selling. I guess if I had more than 2-4 hens per breed it wouldn't put me completely out of commission when they went broody

My jap bantam hen hasn't went broody yet. I have ONE silkie hen not broody. Trying to break them, cause I am out of eggs to give them!
My OEG decided she didn't want to be broody..too hot for her I guess
And, I have a barred cochin that wants to be, but is dingy. She sat on eggs yesterday morning and early afternoon, moved them from nest into coop floor & sat on them all afternoon & evening....today she was back in the nest, with no eggs.

But I am in love with my little buttons. I only have 3 left out of the 7 that hatched. Stupid chickens attacked the babies in the incubator.
ETA: I am not getting coturnix eggs hardly at all. I have 60 in the bator, and have only gotten 3 in the past 4 days. So those are in the fridge.
