I have some eggs on the BSA right now with a bit over 24 hours. They are Coronation Sussex over Light Sussex test eggs. I am not hatching right now, or they would be in my Bator.

I have chocolate and blue chocolate muscovies (pied) and they are laying like crazy right now. I just put some in the incubator to check fertility. If they are good, should have some for sale soon. I will try to get some pics today.

I've got a few offers

Offer#3
mixed colors of bantam Cochins.I can also throw in some mixed color silkies if they lay today. $5 plus $10 shipping.
I can combine shipping.

Snapped some pix. Not sure if the blue ones are blue chocolate or blue fawn, or if that is the same thing. Not up on my muscovy colors. There are two blue hens and four chocolates. Most are obvious pied. The first three photos are of the drake, so you can see a closeup of his face, and both sides for markings. They seem to be sturdy, substantial birds, nice bodied, easy going personalities. Got six out of six eggs past two days in a row.

When is the laying season for these birds? I have a chocolate over pied pair.

Not sure. These are laying like crazy right now. Last two mornings, all six eggs are laid before I go out early in the AM to let them out. I have been letting them out as early as possible and keeping them out as late as possible, because their pen is small and I want to try to keep it dry and not smell so bad. I am over on birds right now.

I believe muscovies, like most other breeds of domestic duck, lay all year round but lay their best from spring to fall. I don't think they have a 'season'.
