Wow, you are a sucker for punishment! I can't stand to keep ducks inside the brooder room more than 2 weeks! I have 2 now that are 3 weeks old and are huge already. They go out during the day with the Mottled Cochins kids but have way surpassed them in size so I need to put them somewhere else. Nasty creatures! But Mommy gives them kisses every morning and evening when picking them up. I do love them.

I still kick them out around 3 weeks old in the winter, I just move their 'brooder' (rubbermaid) outside and put a light in it. I have holes cut in the lids of the brooders, so the ducklings can use those as doors and I lay the rubbermaid on its side.
