Crazy Chicken Lady in Florida

Welcome. I agree with you that she has some black sussex in her. She is so pretty and unique looking.

Hopefully you can get your flock through this difficult time with Pox. :hugs Keep us posted!
I am doing everything I can to help them get through it. So far (knock on wood) everyone is doing good, still eating and drinking, dust bathing. Most of them the sores have dried up and healed up, I have one hen that still has several on her comb and one on her wattle.
It's been about a month and a half now, I think. And most of them seem like they are getting over it. (Again knock on wood)

My new chicks will all be vaccinated for fowl pox at 8 weeks before they are moved outside and the integration process begins.

Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job with the Pox patients! It takes a while to heal from this virus. You might get them on a good poultry supplement like Poultry Cell, help boost their immune systems and help them repair.

Thank you.

Okay so here's my question and where I get stuck. I'm the type of animal owner that only wants to give my babies the best.
So before I give them anything I do insane amounts of research and compare what others say.
Sometimes that ends up with me stuck in a decision I have trouble making. Lol.

I have read nutridrench is a great one, I've read about poultry cell, and there's one by durvet I've read about.

But I don't know which one to get and which one to use. Is poultry cell the one you would recommend?

They all may be good but I use Nutridrench. Poultry cell if you have access to it equally good I'm sure. I see both recommended here and I think they are equally good.
