Ok I just spent 1/2 hour chasing those crazy birds around trying to get pictures. They are camera shy!!! I ended up having to get pictures from far away and crop them, so here's the best I could do-
Here's Helen:

Sorry she's a little scruffy, but the Roo is CONSTANTLY mating with her...annoying but I have 100% fertility on the eggs I've tested!
I don't know if she's show quality, but she's true to breed, except no red eyes (I am told most of them don't have red eyes anymore and my other hen doesn't have them either).
The rooster, Huxtable, has red eyes. I don't know yet whether the babies will have red or black eyes. Whoever takes the eggs, please let me know what you get!
He's going through the most terrible molt right now, but he's normally a gorgeous bird!
Here's Huxtable:

I should submit pics of him in the ugliest chicken contest! When he raises his hackles, his entire neck is naked! Plus obviously he's dropped most of his tail. His hackles are solid white and usually really full.

The other hen, Harriet, kept running away from the camera and all the pics were blurry! Lol

After reading Bananas' post I had to do some investigating. According to the APA manual, Silver Spangled Hamburgs are supposed to have reddish bay eyes. I went out and looked at my birds eyes and the hens are really dark but I can see a reddish tint to them. The rooster eyes are just a little lighter.

The "standard" sized cocks weigh 5 lbs and the hens weight 4 lbs.

Banana, you have some nice birds. From what I read here and in the APA manual, your birds are within standards.

Oh, and Hamburgs lay very well. They are known as the "Everyday Dutch Layer."
