Crazy? Moving from incubator to broody

long story short I am attempting to hatch shipped eggs. Worst egg cells went into incubator; intact ones went under broody. I have 2 babies hatched under broody with one viable egg left and one viable egg left in incubator. Incubator egg is peeping. I have thought about moving it to under the broody. It is currently in a carton cell in the incubator. Worried moving from upright to broody would hurt it Thoughts?

If it’s pipping, I’ll let it be and just slip it in under broody after it hatched and fluffed, do it at night though.

X2 but be wary if her 3rd has already hatched, ull never know how
a broody will react

Only internally pipped, no external pipping still. I don’t know how long it has been internally pipped. Come on baby chick!!

Agree. Don't disturb it until it has finished hatching and fluffed up/can move around a bit., then sneak under broody in the night. I made the mistake of putting a just hatched chick under a broody too soon. Because it was too weak to move yet the broody squashed it under her leg and it died.

Only internally pipped, no external pipping still. I don’t know how long it has been internally pipped. Come on baby chick!!

If its not externally pipped and you can do it quick-like, and she will let u do it....do it. Youll have a better chance of her imorinting on the lonechick

Oh no! I do believe I can get it under quick and carefully, she has been fine with me poking around.

Even though the air cell was detached and is now crazy saddle shaped? Honestly, not holding out much hope for this one, but it has made it this far and I can’t decide if hatching up right or under mama gives the best chance.

Uve heard good and bad stories about hatching saddle shaped air sacs both under mama and in the incubator.
Ive never hatched under a broidy, but did incubate some shipped eggs and the air cells were wonky. I went ahead n put them in their side for lockdown and they did just fine. It all depends on what youre comfortable with
