Crazy Neighbor

I remember you very well. We were talking to Linda that day about your jerky sometimes-neighbor. No idea you were a BYC member.

I was talking to Brian (redheaded guy, right?) the other day about Longcrowers. Gave him my BYC card and told him we had folks with that type rooster here.

Im dealing with the same issue here. My neighbor 2 houses down behind us can KINDA see my chickens but they cant go into his yard due to fences. He has called 2 times on us now for having them( its a grey area as to weather we have enough room for them) I have 1 acre and 10 hens, township says I have to have 3 to have chickens but under the Michigan right to farm act I can keep them here. Infact if he calls one more time he will be charged by the township for being a neusence( sp ). so take that grumpy neighbor.
His houde BTW is falling down and his yard looks like a dump! go figure!

And this would be bad why? Not your fault that he (or the original owners) built the house that close to the property line. Of course, if he really hates it he could always find another place to live. And wouldn't that just be a shame.

A lawyer for a neighbor. That sucks!

My ex husband is a lawyer, thank goodness he's not very good at it. There is a very good reason that in most states it is perfectly legal for a Dr. to refuse to treat a lawyer and a landlord to refuse to rent to one. They are a pain in the rear! Document everything, and if it's legal to keep roosters, I'd borrow a few really loud ones for a month or so.....

Hey! Not ALL lawyers are bad. I know some really good ones that would LOVE to take on a jerk like that.

Sorry about your troubles. I had a AWFUL neighbor who was from another country that- shall we say- didn't treat women with the same respect that they get in the West. He complained about EVERYTHING from my gardening clothes to my kids. He finally moved. God does answer prayers.

When we did a survey we found out the property line is 3 feet from neighbors house. We placed the fence just inside the property line.We weren't trying to annoy the neighbor in any way,but we wanted the fencing everywhere to be just inside the line.

10 feet isn't bad. I would go for it even if it is just some cheap stockade premade panels. Just do a survey because that way no one can say you placed it improperly. And if the neighbor disagrees with the survey give him time to do his own. I waited 2 years(way to long imo) from survey to fence, and lol the neighbor still complains to this day,but he never did a survey-just complain.

Wow, you're my neighbor! I'm in Mineral Bluff. PM me the sucker's name and see if I know him. Wait, did I run into you in Brown's Feed? Some lady was talking about a lawyer neighbor in there one time a few months ago. Maybe we met!

I live in Mineral Bluff too.....
I think we should take my 42 chickens and come "visit" you for a "play date"........ and I have SEVEN roosters
