Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

What would result from a CL rooster x Chocolate Cuckoo Orpington Cross?

I have a chocolate cuckoo hen that was with 4 different roosters (Chocolate Cuckoo, Blue, Mauve and CL) so I am trying to figure out what to expect in case CL was the father.

I tried the chicken calculator but I am not sure if I am making correct entries for the CL rooster. The results I am getting is all cuckoo chicks that are split for cream/lemon but no cream shows. However I have a chick that looks cream and chocolate mix. It could possibly be a mauve cuckoo but I am just trying to exclude a CL hybrid.

If your CL Roo has a good crest you should get crested chicks if he is the father.

I forgot about the crest. Thanks for reminding me. He does not have a big crest though, all his off springs do but probably because they are getting the cresting gene from their moms as well.

What about leg color. Will yellow x chocolate cuckoo result in yellow legs or pink/choc?

Forgive me if this is a repeat question, I have read through most of this thread but I'm still confused. I hatched eggs from a CCL cock over BBS Isbar hens. Two chicks hatched, both have head spots. Are they sexlinked?

No, equal chance of them being male or female. In either case, they are single barred because they got 1 barred gene from the father and none from the mother, to be sexlinked, it would have to be reversed, CCL hen and Isbar roo, but my experience with blue and splash as male parent is that it washed out the down so much you won't be able to sex them anyway.

I would love anyone's comments on methods get the more saturated "deep" blue in general...

I've seen pictures of some beautiful deep blue eggs around too, but I haven't gotten anything like that from my legbars or ameraucanas, even though they are beautiful eggs. I heard that they introduce sasquatch DNA, as soon as I get some I'll be happy to share it with everyone.
