You know what I meant. There is no such thing as a brown egg gene. The brown is from a brown coating over a white egg.
Do you know how much each of your egg weight? I have group B Cream Legbar from GFF. I got my first egg yesterday and it is 1.75oz. The egg that hatched my CL 2.0-2.5oz. I am plan to cross my CL X Bielefelder this summer because no Bielefelder hen. My hope to get larger dual purpose bird, lay well, bigger size egg than pure CL, and autosexing.

Here is a head shot of my IceCream Bar cockerel -- he's blue-- he really looks neat IMO
He is a nice sturdy little guy
It surprises me that he has so much barring. I think perhaps some Isbar females do have a hidden barring gene... only shows barring in the feathers close to the body though....His sister from that cross CL X Isbar hen is less flashy -- but very friendly and curious
Female Icecream bar -- I'm surprised that not more photos of this x are put up.
No eggs---although the CL from that hatch (September) is getting near..... They are pretty aren't they. They are lovely! Interesting cross. I like the looks of the male. Ave you gotten eggs from this cross yet? If so how do you like the color?
