Thanks! Yes her feathers have been plucked out from what I can tell. I believe they were in a coop with many other birds. I free range my chickens and so I'm hoping a less stressful home will help out.

Sometimes I think that crests have "target" painted on them....... I'll bet she will grow them back in your environment.

My Cream Legbar Rooster 12 weeks old
He has a really big crest and it is pushing the back unattached end of his comb off the head

The white in his saddle are actually emerging feathers that have some chestnut to them. Be interesting to see how much chestnut he ends up with



Big hen 13 weeks. She is washed out in the face and chest from the flash
She is cream


Big hen left 13 weeks, Small hen right 12 weeks
Big hen is more cream and small hen more gold. Her chest is not as dark rust as it seems in the pic More of a light salmon

I only had one chick hatch (I only put 4 in the incubator). I don't have a comparison of boy and girl now. So what do you think?
