Cream Legbar pullet?

I have a few prairie bluebells. They just aren’t old enough to lay yet. Maybe one of them will actually be a hen

how old are they?

They all look like pullets when they are bought. But when they get to be 4 plus weeks the cock or pullets side comes for some breed.

Yeah I know But cream legbars are supposed to be sex linked, and this was from Hoovers Hatchery. I just figured they had it right. I’ll keep it regardless, just bummed and wish I would’ve bought more than just one.

That is just not true for autosexing breeds. They should have sexually dimorphic chick down. This line seems to not have been heavily selected enough for this trait.

I have 3 that are 7 weeks, and one that is 4 weeks. The prairie bluebells. This cream legbar chick is 4 weeks old

He's definitely a cockerel. I would not use him for breeding due to him not being autosexing

I can see by your picture that you know this breed. Bummer. Did you see the chick pics? Sure did resemble a girl. I wish I would’ve bought more of them.

The ones at 7 weeks you should be able to tell male from female, this picture may help

This is not true for auto-sexing breeds. Legbars are one of them
