Here are some pictures of mine (both pullets/ this was 2 years ago) shortly after hatch, and at 4 to 4.5 weeks. I hope this helps.

Do keep in mind that the autosexing "feature" has to be bred for and maintained, which the Hoover's lines are known for not being as such, so autosexing them isn't reliable.

Aww… I was hoping for blue eggs I will check back in a couple weeks.

Looks like A roo. I had 3 roo LB/Aust mixes.............. Didn't end well. Apparently LB Roos can have very nasty dispositions and when are the size of an austrolorp with that disposition that was not A good mix for the hens.

Oh no My main roo is a French Copper Marans. He is so very sweet. I guess if this one is a boy, we will build a third run. I looked at the Hoover’s Hatchery picture of their LB hen, and it doesn’t have the straight comb, or really cream chest like they should. I just wonder if they tried creating something close. I’ll see if I can attach their picture.

They all look like pullets when they are bought. But when they get to be 4 plus weeks the cock or pullets side comes for some breed.

Legbars are Auto Sexing. Males are pale, & females are bright.

Just an update. My cream legbar is now 6 weeks old and has the red leakage coming in on the shoulders, and the barring is that of a boy. Looking more and more like a roo every day. Obviously Hoover’s Hatchery has a hiccup in their auto sexing breeds, as this one looked like it was clearly a pullet at the store I will update again in a month or so.
