I love the crests on the 4 hens I posted pics of. No more than that though or they start to look like Tina Turner (Polish chickens) I like the crest poufy enough that you don't see the comb just the poof. No clue how correct that is because there seems to be so very much variation but it is what "I" like

Ohh yeah --

I like the small crest -- and then would like to select for smaller combs.

Smaller combs, especially the Roos, would be good for really cold NH winters for sure

And you know that BYC member Flyingmonkeypoop has developed Rosecomb CLs -- especially to fight Frostbite.

YES! I have 4 of his eggs in my incubator. There is a chance one or more of the chicks could be a rosecomb.

it looks like I finally got my first double cream cockerel in this hatch! Now I'm not so antsy about finding a cream rooster. I have to see how he grows! I am so very excited!

Hey everybody. Fairly new to the site and posted some pics last week of a CL trio that I was looking at. Well I now have my first CL's. The guy I got them from also gave me some chicks that he just had hatch out since they were all roos except 1. Excited about having them and the chicks and figured if nothing else I might find one of them is a better looking rooster than what I have.
