What did the offspring look like? Egg colour?

I was just about to put some Welsummer eggs in the bator that were covered by a CL rooster. Mostly because I was curious.

are these pure wellies? The possibilities are that or Wellie x cream legbar. to me the hen looks like a wellie not sure on the rooster but really not sure at all.

You could contact Hangtown Farms ans see out their prossible cross turned out and what egg color they are getting now.

They look like proper Wellies to me. Not crosses. But I have very few of either breed.

I feel sry for these naturally raised chicks. They get kicked around durring scratch time and breath all that dust.

For me it is just the opposite....they are free to jump around, scratch, hang out with mom, be outdoors, see bugs up close and personal early on--- The incubated ones have to live in a box for 4-weeks. Far less freedom IMO...what's a little dust, what's a little being kicked around compared to free-ranging with mom??

Gold Crele birds.. the pullets will lay(when matured to hens) green eggs
