Cream Legbars

Our cream legbar Cockerel did very well over the weekend. The judge, when I was able to ask her after everything was over, liked how they didn't look like golden crele leghorns, with his shape. He does need a bit more tail, but he's just turned 6 months old, so that will come with time. Did have a brief argument with check in about crests! (Yes, small crests are still crests...)

He is beautiful!

I think they illustrate the discussion we all had a few weeks ago about dark versus light crests!
So far, I like them, they look like young pullets. The bottom one seems to have a rather small crest at the moment, but it's hard to tell where they will be in a few months, other than likely the top one will always have a dark crest and the bottom one a light crest. They are both lovely cream legbar.

You're doing better than me, I was not sure they were legbars,. 2 of them almost look like Sussex, especially the bottom left.

If that is a legbar, it could be a pullet because of eye
Olive is {Blue(BB) x brown(bb)}= Bb 100% Olive

Olive(Bb) crossed with Legbar (BB) = BB, Bb so half will be sexlinked Olive and Half sexlinked blue

If you want all olive eggers use a Marans x Legbar
i would get all olive eggs with a CCL roo and a BCM hen?
