Yes ChicKat, i'm in Ealing, West London. Where are you from? Is this a predominantly American site?
The Hen was an amazing first time mum at 1 year old! She stayed with them till about 2 weeks ago!
Rinda, they are fabulous...I think that you need to give them to me...I will be over this afternoon to pick them up.....Well my Cream Legbars kept running away from the camera but I managed to get a few pictures. They are about 16 weeks now.
This is my favorite boy (no name yet). He's a bit lighter than his brother and has a better developed tail, a decent crest and a straighter comb.
Both boys together.
Hattie taking a nap in the sun along the fenceline.
Hattie and ... not sure but I think it's Favorite Boy. They are stealing scratch/layer mix from the big chicken's doorway. I think the boy is keeping a lookout for Big Stuff the FBCM Rooster!![]()

BYC is definitely an international site...there are folks from all over the world here, but probably most folks are from the USA. This link to 'find your state's thread' Lists the USA and Australia, Canada, and UK posters. Also I have been in touch with folks from Spain, we have Niclandia from Nicaragua, and Henk69 from the Netherlands who has made the chicken genetics calculator. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread I was on the Omlett thread in the UK for awhile, as I have a little Eglu - and I think the USA is just beginning to catch up to the UK in our appreciation of chickens and what we have available for our birds over here.
On a completely different note, the USA is just now starting season 3 of Downton Abbey - so some of us are thinking of life across the 'pond'. :O). (Circa 1920, that is) I have a neice who lives in London with her husband, who is Australian, so both are ex patriots.
I'm located in Texas....we live on a cattle ranch... OH, btw, there is a start up Cream Legbar Club, if you would like to join.... There is a free level of membership 'associate' that will get the newsletter quarterly, and transcripts of meetings, other announcements, and the ability to participate in contests and 'social' events... Everything will be on line, so the travel distance would only be in cyberspace. Another membership level is Full member - it's $12USA which paid by PayPal, and they could do the conversion. Just think you could be our first international member...OH here is the link.. just wanted to invite you in case you have an interest. https://sites.google.com/site/creamlegbarclublaunch/ BTW, this is just our temporary web site, until our 'real' one is completed.
Here's another suggestion (i'm always suggesting)-- Each year BYC has a calendar and they solicit pictures from members...when next autumn rolls around - please submit the picture of the hen and the chick....that is exactly the type of photo I would like to look at for a month on a calendar page!! Your chicks are very nice ones, so I hope you will continue to post as they grow.

Your boys are some of the very first that I have seen that have that 45-degree tail angle....the one growing out here has 90-degrees. Hattie is very pretty too. -- Makes me think that I haven't taken pictures of the ones here for a l o n g time....and my little one-winged (now named) has coloration a lot like hattie and her crest has the same light spots--I think her mom was more solid dark.
Thanks for posting- They look so good!
Well a big disappointment today- we lost Hattie. She just went to sleep like she did yesterday against the rock wall and didn't wake up. When I picked her up her crop was empty and she feels too light, so I guess she's been off for a while, and I didn't see it.![]()
