Cream Legbars

I adopted a 3 yr. old Lt. Brahma hen, and she was just lovely. Her personality was sassy but never mean, and she also loved to eat. She continued to lay large well shaped eggs beyond her 4th year, and stayed with the flock when she was past laying. Sadly, a coyote showed up early one afternoon in December and she wasn't able to fly over the fence to another area like the lighter birds. Her name was Seraphina. Thanks for letting me tell her story.

Sounds like you really loved her....and you honored her by this as well....sometimes a hen will worm their way into your heart.....

Aloha kākou,

Here are some pics of my lighter roo from Rinda. Pretty creamy he turned out to be. Big floppy comb though. Getting too cocky though. Going back to the ranch. Too bad my white sport isnʻt laying yet.

Aloha, Puhi

Aloha, No, heʻs just crowing even when I tell him to shut up. He mated with his sister but sheʻs not laying yet. Too bad he has to go back. Too much crowing. Good looking guy though. Heʻll be back.

Aloha, Puhi

Got 3 whites in this week's hatch (I think there were about 35 CLs in there total). Hatch is still ongoing. Here is a pair for those who have not seen male and female whites side by side. Male on the left, female on the right (stripe on head is darker and you can see it continues down the back).

Nice pictures, Rinda.
