This little boys feathers are continuing to friz out here is a pic a few days ago and last night I checked and there is more. I couldnt get a good pic but the ones on the wing here are curling.

Anyone ever seen this?

Just checked my 6 week CL cockerels, seem to have the same look.

This is normal an not really frizzled. These feathers will fall out in the next 3 months and they will start to get their big boy feathers.

Just make sure that you are giving them proper amounts of protein. I feed all of my chicks 22% protein feed. You can also supplement their protein by feeding them eggs. Just make sure to cook them and chop them up.

I do feed them good feed and supplement with eggs every so often. They are starting their visits outside soon as they get ready to move to the small coop for new birds.

My brother took some of my pullets who also like to fly up in the trees...consequently they taught the rest of his flock a few new tricks...=)

I so want Cream Leg bars but cant justify spending 100 dollars for a bird. /img/smilies/sad.png Guess I'll have to wait til they are more readily available.

$100?? Wow! I bought a Cream Legbar here in the UK a few weeks ago for £9 GBP which is about $15. I guess they must be very rare where you are.
