Hi everyone, this is my first CL, was told she was about 8 wks but she is a tiny bit smaller than my 8 wk old bantam chicks and tiny compared to my 8 wk old Cochin x orp chicks, so I am thinking she is more 6 wks, anyway here is Mildred

Are the legs on your chick white or yellow?

Cute chick! Yes you may be right about her age. The Cream Legbar Club has some photo-essays of chicks as they grow. I'm sure not every CL chick will gtow at an ientical rate...but it was sure a help to me with my first ones to see if everything was 'normal'.

That's good. Because from the photo they look white. Cream Legbar legs are supposed to be yellow. So if they were white, I was going to recommend you contact the breeder and get your money back.

Thanks, but I am not really worried by her legs, CLs are quite common here in the uk and I hardly paid anything for her, I just want her for my laying flock as I have white, green and brown layers I really wanted a blue layer to go with them

I need help sexing my Cream Legbar chicks.

Hi, I posted in the "what breed or gender am I" forum, but someone told me I should post my just hatched CLB's over here for more professional answers. My broody hatched 5 chicks on Friday, and I am having trouble gender assigning them. My rooster and hen came from greenFire in September of last year. I'll post pics of them too. Thank you for any help offered.
