About the term crele for the colored birds- if we call them crele, the hens would have to meet the color standard which means more barring. By producing crele hens with good barring, I would worry about losing the auto sexing traits. Sure, you can still sex crele chicks but not as easy. Even though there are gold legbars in the UK, they are a different breed. If we just copy the color standard for our birds, we wouldn't have to worry about anything really. The color of the gold legbars in the UK is the same as our non-cream birds but it is not crele patterned.
