Cream Legbars

Thanks, appreciate the advice! Will check back in if he cancels his membership in the Ministry of Silly Walks!

I have checked his feet, there is nothing there. At first I thought he had a growth spurt and wasn't quite sure how to handle his new size/weight. It is really accentuated when he is going downhill, like he is in the video. I'm baffled.

Hi puss58.

As others have mentioned, he looks neurological to me too. But it is smart to closely look at the feet for both tanglements or foreign bodies in the pads or bumblefoot. The neuro could be blindness or difficulty seeing (it seems you have ruled this out, but I would check the size of his pupils and make sure they are the same size). The differentials for causes of neurological disease include: viral (ie Mareks), encephalitis caused by bacteria (I would expect him to be unthrifty and act sick in other ways), trauma, congenital (something he was born with that may cause problems such as increasing/ed csf pressure in the brain from bad anatomy), or nutritional deficiencies (such as low Thiamine levels), or toxin exposure.

Not much you can do in any case but to make sure he is eating ok and not bullied. If her were mine, I would switch to a new bag of food (different lot number) if its a quality brand, or a different brand all together and if you have him on medicated chick feed I would remove that since the active ingredient is a Thiamine analog and he could in theory get deficient in Thiamine if that was his sole feed. Thiamine deficiencies can cause hyper extension (where certain muscles seem spastic, especially those muscles that counter gravity)--usually seen as a stargazing or a twisting of the neck over the back but can be generalized or seen in other muscles groups if it is minor.

I do hope you keep us posted on his progress.

KPenley exceptional Male vs Rees Line Male from Chiken Pickin

Rees Male shows very good melanin barring as called for on the SOP on these Areas, Hackle, Saddle, Back, Wing Bow and Coverts, But lacking well defined Secondaries(AKA Wing Triangle) but this seem to be a Trait of the Rees lines(been following her line for a while) and Breast(not well defined barring and lighter in tone compared to tail barring, as far as the SOP goes it should be as dark as Tail)

KPenley Male: this exceptional male shows not only good melaning barring, but Well Defined Barring which is impressive on Breast(well defined barring and as dark as Tail) Hackle, shoulders, Wing Bow and Coverts, and Well defined Secondaries(AKA Wing Triangle) the Saddles is lacking a little bit onthe grey barring but not devoided of it(ofcourse) oh and very nice yellow shanks..

that was for SOP Grey Barring comparison as both show exceptional cream coloration(as far as double barring B/B ig/ig on a not red enhanced gold s+/s+ male goes), as For Type I am really not so good, but I can see the leg drums on the KPenly male and not on the Rees Line male

Hey Phage,

Very cool avatar. Didn't even know about the 24-hour auctions. Nice to see the big picture of that hen at the beginning of the auction thread.
Thanks!
It goes Crazy in the spring! Great deals are had, and is a lot of fun. Super quiet just now though.
I will put up some Rees eggs when they start to lay.

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I figured I should give a quick update on Knoxville. My CLs were the only ones there. The Rees pullet won BB, with my k from Maria winning RB. I'll try to edit some more pics later, but here are a couple.

Love this guy!
How is his comb?

Between the kids and junior events I failed miserably in my quest to get judges feedback, but I'll try again next time and I've already contacted some for online feedback. We also had this little distraction with our little "Lady"...
Hey KP!!

If you send me this picture or another one of him, I can put it on the show winners on the Club's website. This is the same guy in your avatar now right?
