I have an araucana at 42 weeks with no eggs and an appenzeller at 44. :/ They should form a club

Haha seriously! It feels weird chick shopping for this year with one still not laying from last year. She's just on her own schedule I guess

I have four hens, those two, babs (exbattery) who is too old to lay consistently and Zazzles (white leghorn) who is the only one pulling her weight and laying. I see it as an excuse for more chicks.

Hi all, so I may have the record for the oldest non laying pullet yet. She was hatched the beginning of June and still no egg. She has looked ready for months, no squatting but I have another layer that doesn't either. I'm in So. Cal so we have had no winter.

And here mine hatched about the same time started laying a few weeks ago and has just laid 3 days in a row now. (Typically every other day)

Ok either I have a recessive white or grabbed the wrong egg for a CL crossed with a blue hen of another breed. But if that was the case I thought the chick would be black

Looks like a recessive white CL chick. From that pic it looks like a pullet but cant be sure, they are slightly harder to sex. Maybe another pic will help.

thank you. Although I'm sure they're pretty, too hard for me to tell. I'll look through the pics to see if anyone has posted recessive white males. Need to know what they look like for the future
