Sorting out the Cream Legbars for a breeding program produces so many pretty offspring.
The second chick best resembles the SOP for color.
The first chick looks like she has excellent type (body shape); that was a really good angle to consider.

I appreciate your comments. I am new to chickens and CL.Sorting out the Cream Legbars for a breeding program produces so many pretty offspring.

One of the chicks is definitely gold, The rest are grey/cream or grey/black hackles. Does the grey/black mean they are gold? Tonight for the first time they rounded themselves up to go to bed! So cute.....They are looking very nice. Is that a pink gate in the background? Love it. Is the top chick gold?
That was what was confusing me, so they are just CL incorrectly colored. Out of the 17 there is only one right now that is gold colored and she is very gold.If they were hatched from Cream Legbars, then they are still Cream Legbars, however they may not always be correct for color or type.
The pullet in the last pic has dark coloration, but I can't tell from that angle if she is correct for cream. She does show other nice attributes.

I am anxious to see how they color as adults. They are a very nice group of CLs. They are so sweet. They peck at my boots, fly up to perch near me. Very different from my other chicks. I am not disappointed in them..... just trying to learn. I joined the CL Club. They are all very pretty. Your cockerel is nicely barring. I personally want to breed for correct color. So I guess it's for you to decide what you want them to be. But they have such a sweet temperament I probably will keep my golds as layers. I was reading that there are some out there starting olive egg projects using CLB instead of Ameraucanas. Might be a future project.
