Copying and pasting my breeding plan from other thread because too lazy

Quote: And by third line I mean a sub-line developed from the original imports. Of course the legbars would have slightly different breeding goal haha.

BTW I cull my culls or put them in the layer flock, we have too many game fighters around here to just sell them cheap, I don't want to the roosters to be used for bait training.

For the case of the Black swedish the culls will be used to help breed black meat birds to sell to the local asian market.

Thank you Walt for that explanation. My intention is to stick with the Rees birds at this point and depending on what I get, if I get anything, either incorporate or run separately the Rees/C birds. As this progresses I'll be picking brains to learn as much as I can. In a way, thank god for the internet. Brings people together that normally may not be.

It sounds like a good plan. There are people on this thread that can help.

My three Cream Legbars have blue/green earlobes, accepted by the UK standard. Marge has blueygreen earlobes, Patty has baby blue lobes, and Selma has spearmint green. Could this suggest the egg colour they will lay? Sorry if this is a totally stupid question. Thank you

The UK Standard requires white or creamy earlobes with white being preferred.

I got three cream legbar ladies in the autumn, for their beautiful eggs sweet temperaments and striking looks. However, I would be interested to know how good quality they were in regards to show type. Any suggestions would be welcome, as I'm only just learning what's good an what's not. Thank you
I think the girl in the last pic is too dark?
I was looking at CLs on Youtube and saw this video. I thought you might enjoy it. CLs at a Poultry Show in the UK.
