creating a mille fluer patterned hennie american game

Well, looks like I got lucky and had what appears to be close to mill fleur color pattern, minus the sex-link gold. Color closer to that of Speckled Sussex.
(I know I'm a year and a half late, but...)

So are you saying your birds have red like Speckled Sussex?
A Speckled Sussex is genetically "sex-linked gold."
Whether the chicken shows actual gold (like Mille Fleur), or a rich red shade (like Speckled Sussex or Rhode Island Red), is controlled by other genes that do not seem to be sex linked, but they all require the sex-linked gene for gold. If they don't have the gene for gold, they will be silver (white.)
