Creating a new breed

Incorrect. The sire must have black/dark skin and black/slate legs. Mother must have WHITE SKIN AND YELLOW LEGS. Since the mother is an EE, the sex linked trait will not work. So you might have more than one pullet. :fl
Any idea if this works on a Silkie x Jersey Giant? Technically, JG have white skin and yellow legs, it's only the scales that are dark.

Or a Silkie x Java? Yellow skin, and yellow legs.

Chicks 4, 5, and 6 are here!

I set 7 eggs and one never developed, so I think 6 is pretty good.

#4 has five toes, and looks similar to the 3rd one.

#5 has the right amount of toes and it is dark black with dark skin.

#6 is lighter than #5, it has some brown. Olive legs, have not counted toes.

They all seem happy and healthy. We have some broilers that came the day most of them hatched so we're putting these chicks with them.

So if the hen does not have yellow or pink legs the chicks with dark skin might not be female? Or are they but some of the other ones might be female too?

Pictures soon!
