Our Buff Orpington/Barred Rock rooster as a youngster. He's the one with yellow face, and white spot on his head.
Yes, he is a double sex link cross, Buff Orp rooster x Barred Rock hen will yield gold based hens(dark orange face, no head spot) and Golden single barred roosters(S/s+ yellow face and headspot) these type of cross don't need to be feather sexed of course(I am sure you did not)

Yeah, he didn't need to be feathered sexed, unlike my chick I hatched awhile ago.
 
Here he is. He became a meat bird, since I didn't have room to keep him.

He looks simular to my roo, except my roo has more barred tail feathers.
 
I will post another update soon. She is just starting to get in her first breast feathers, that show coloring, and patterns also.
