The Sire is Half barred and I see the white spot on top of the chick's head(even if wet), so it's barred, now the question will be if it's Hemizygous(Female) or Heterozygous(Male) barred.I believe this chicken will be black, due to the genetics.

The chick is clearly wheaten based(eWh/eWh) we can't say for now if it's going to be barred(Wheaten is really not good at expressing sex link as chicks) but if it's barred I predict a very beautiful Barred/Cuckoo Buff colorHere's a chick that hatched this morning. Genetics for this chick is Buff Orpington/Barred Rock crossed with Buff Orpington.
Cuckoo is a good start. The feather quills on the wings are Black, & Buff. I sexed the chick too, looks like a pullet. The chick is clearly wheaten based(eWh/eWh) we can't say for now if it's going to be barred(Wheaten is really not good at expressing sex link as chicks) but if it's barred I predict a very beautiful Barred/Cuckoo Buff color
