I am aware and saw all words typed. It's been going on before my new batch of chicks hatched. It started with a chick I hatched a month ago.
Okay.I am aware and saw all words typed.
Wouldn't black crele just be black barred?Note To Visitors of My Thread: Yes, I've read upon the genetics of crele chickens, please don't judge me, and say I don't know what I'm doing, or I ignored the genetics that make up the crele pattern. Encourage the people who make new colored chickens even if they may not be using a certain breed. Don't bring them down saying " You're not using the right colored, or breed of chicken to make this color pattern type." I've had people do that, and it's hurtful.
Not exactly. You'll see one of my example chicks soon.Wouldn't black crele just be black barred?
Due to the many restrictors found on Buffs, they will not be all black, many will have a dark crele look to them, but as far as I know no established breed out there based their "Crele" phenotype on heterozygous extended black, so all of this experimenting is for fun, take it as it is, I really don't think this will go beyond a few generations from an enthusiastic backyard breeder.Wouldn't black crele just be black barred?
Somebody used Wheaton Marans, and Orpingtons to make their breed of crele orpington.Due to the many restrictors found on Buffs, they will not be all black, many will have a dark crele look to them, but as far as I know no established breed out there based their "Crele" phenotype on heterozygous extended black, so all of this experimenting is for fun, take it as it is, I really don't think this will go beyond a few generations from an enthusiastic backyard breeder.
I'm just trying to create a new breed of crele chickens, not the original. I like funky looking birds, and I bet some of you here do to.New Note To Visitors of My Thread: Yes, I've read upon the genetics of crele chickens.
I am sure crossing different breeds can lead to a pseudo look for example pseudo Crele looking Orps you are mentioning, in this case the barring had to come from the Orps as wheaten marans sure don't have the gene. Perhaps the golden cuckoo maran? They are Birchen based ccuckoo/barred and kinda look crele if you think about it.Somebody used Wheaton Marans, and Orpingtons to make their breed of crele orpington.
Oh, yeah that's what I meant. For some reason I was thinking Wheaton. I'm still tired today.I am sure crossing different breeds can lead to a pseudo look for example pseudo Crele looking Orps you are mentioning, in this case the barring had to come from the Orps as wheaten marans sure don't have the gene. These are a flock of Golden Cuckoo Marans(gonden by name but they are s+/s+) this is how I expect your new crosses to look.
