It isn't requiredIf gold/silver is sex linked then why is it required for making laced feather patterns on chickens?
Still incorrectOkay, the gold gene is a requirement for making lacing upon feathers.
Also incorrectYes, but it pretty much didn't say it had to be silver for silver lacing, so I guess gold is okay to use too.
You're misinformed.
Every chicken is either gold or silver. Roosters can be gold and silver. As said they're sex linked.
Lacing doesn't have anything to do with or need gold/silver. They don't have anything to do with each other except gold/silver influences color.
Silver laced are silver. Gold laced are gold.
Lacing is a pattern.
Same with say Columbian. Columbian is silver and buff Columbian is gold. Same pattern different color because of gold/silver. Not needed to have the pattern it just determines the color in the pattern.
