Creating Experimental Black Crele Chickens (Different Genetics, new variety)

The one with the mostly white crest is the one I KNOW is white x blue... the one with the dark crest, I guess I’ll assume she’s white x blue too. :confused:

Uh, what? Recessive white does not "leak" into certain parts of a colored bird. If a bird has 2 copies of recessive white then it is white. If is has just one then it remains hidden.

As for silkies, if they all carry recessive white then 25% of the offspring from every breeding would be solid white, regardless of the parents' varieties. I doubt that is the case.
I know what I'm talking about, I've done my research, and all colored Silkies have a white Silkie background. They were mixed with different colored chickens to produce colored Silkies.

So all silkie breedings will have 25% white offspring. It's simple Punnett squares.
